Position Overview:
Our growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join our litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident handling depositions, expert discovery, motion practice, and case strategy while working closely with senior trial attorneys.

The ideal candidate is a strong advocate, strategic thinker, and skilled litigator who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about representing injured clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury litigation matters from filing through trial preparation
  • Take and defend fact witness depositions, party depositions, and expert depositions
  • Draft and respond to written discovery including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Prepare and argue motions including motions to compel, motions in limine, and other litigation motions
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, and litigation strategy memoranda
  • Work with medical experts, accident reconstructionists, economists, and other retained experts
  • Prepare cases for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial
  • Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and senior attorneys to advance case strategy
  • Maintain strong communication with clients throughout litigation

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
  • 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in plaintiff personal injury
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Depositions (fact and expert)
  • Discovery and discovery disputes
  • Motion practice
  • Case strategy and litigation planning
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Trial preparation experience is a plus

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience taking expert depositions and coordinating expert discovery
  • Familiarity with medical records, medical terminology, and damages analysis
  • Experience preparing trial binders, witness outlines, and exhibit lists
  • Mediation and settlement negotiation experience
