Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will champion the rights of clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence or wrongful acts, guiding them through complex legal processes with confidence and compassion. Your expertise will be instrumental in advocating for fair compensation and justice, utilizing your extensive knowledge of personal injury law and related legal fields. Ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, taken 20+ depositions, handled mediations/arbitrations without supervision, and has trial experience (at least one trial as lead counsel).
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and other injury-related cases
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategy and litigation efforts
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests with precision and clarity
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure favorable outcomes for clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences with professionalism and confidence
- Collaborate with experts in fields such as medical professionals or accident reconstruction specialists to strengthen cases
- Maintain meticulous case records, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law and litigation procedures (either on the plaintiff or defense side - defense experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Effective negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements for clients
- Familiarity with related legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and law office administrative practices
- Ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and analyze complex information efficiently
- Exceptional communication skills to advocate confidently in court and negotiate effectively with stakeholders
- Prior experience with legal drafting, litigation strategies, and managing multiple cases simultaneously
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
