Responsibilities:
- Manage a docket of plaintiff personal injury cases from filing through trial.
- Handle depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Preparation and overseeing of pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and draft high-quality legal documents.
- Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case arguments and strategies.
- Draft correspondence and maintain communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
- Participate in negotiations with insurance companies and opposing parties to achieve favorable settlements.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant laws
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
