Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Personal Injury / Workers' Compensation Intake Attorney to join our law firm. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working directly with prospective clients, evaluating potential claims, and helping injured individuals understand their legal options.
The attorney will be responsible for conducting initial consultations, identifying viable personal injury and workers' compensation matters, gathering key facts and documentation, and closely working and supervising our intake and legal teams to convert qualified leads into retained clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephone and virtual consultations with prospective personal injury and workers' compensation clients.
- Evaluate potential claims based on the facts, applicable law, and available documentation.
- Identify important liability, damages, coverage, employment, and workers' compensation issues.
- Explain the legal process, potential next steps, and firm services clearly and professionally.
- Build trust and rapport with prospective clients who may be experiencing significant physical, financial, or emotional stress.
- Obtain and document detailed information regarding accidents, injuries, medical treatment, employment, insurance coverage, and other relevant circumstances.
- Follow up with prospective clients and assist with the retention process.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the firm's CRM and case-management systems.
- Coordinate with intake specialists, paralegals, attorneys, and other team members.
- Meet established intake, follow-up, and client-service objectives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable ethical and professional obligations.
- The ideal applicants would have experience in both areas of law, but not required. Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Florida.
- Experience with personal injury and/or workers' compensation law preferred.
- Strong client-interaction and communication skills.
- Excellent legal issue-spotting and analytical abilities.
- Comfortable conducting consultations by phone and video.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Professional, empathetic, and confident communication style.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Familiarity with legal CRM or case-management software is a plus, such as FileVine.
