Job Description:Responsibilities:
- Litigation & Trial Work: Handle cases through all stages of litigation, including trial preparation and trial
- Case Management: Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda
- Depositions & Hearings: Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
- Expert Coordination: Work with expert witnesses, prepare reports and affidavits, and support trial testimony
- Client Representation: Guide clients throughout the litigation process
- Case Types: Handle matters including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, wrongful death, dog bites, and other personal injury claims
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar
- 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience preferred
- Proven trial experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage high-volume litigation caseloads
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Self-starter with strong litigation and courtroom skills
- Superior writing and oral advocacy abilities
