Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a lawyer to serve as a Pre-Suit Attorney in our growing Houston, TX office. The timing of this opportunity is objectively once-in-a-lifetime. Given our brand new expansion of our Houston partnership, this is an unusual and rare opportunity to climb the ranks quickly of an aggressively developing entity that will afford dividends that will not be available in the same respect as the partnership grows. This attorney will have the opportunity to specialize within our Firm in service of optimal mobility. The pace of this role is fast and dynamic with opportunities for robust client communication and rapid professional development. Our Managing Partner is dedicated to mentoring attorneys directly in this role from Day 1.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day handling of all pre-litigation work
- Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval
- Guide clients through the case process
- Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents
- Complete TD approval for liability issues
- Oversee settlement negotiations and the formation of demand packages
- Manage the release approval process
- Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers
- Focus on Personal injury cases, primarily premises liability.
- Drive compliance and KPIs amongst team
- EUOs, PIP Statements, recorded statements
Requirements:
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- 2+ years of personal injury experience
- Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit cases
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
- Desire to become part of a trial team
