Description:
Well established personal injury firm based in St. Louis is seeking a full time litigation/pre-litigation associate attorney. Experience working with personal injury claims is preferred. Must be licensed in Missouri. All inquiries are confidential.Ideal candidate must have a strong desire to help injury victims, a positive mental attitude and hard work ethic. Candidate must have good writing, communication, and oral argument skills. Responsibilities will include the full range of duties associated with handling auto accident, wrongful death, workers' compensation and other personal injury claims.
The salary range of $100,000 - $190,000+ includes base salary with bonus/commission. In addition to the base salary, the attorney will receive a bonus structure on their assigned cases and be incentivized to generate their own business. There is no minimum draw and bonuses are based on a set percentage of attorney fees from settled cases.
The position entails extensive contact with clients, insurance adjusters and medical providers. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling a revolving litigation and pre- litigation case load of 75-100 personal injury claims (mostly MVA, wrongful death and WC claims) from inception to settlement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle personal injury cases from start to finish.
- Negotiate settlements
- Litigate cases that can't be resolved pre-suit
- Assist with new client intakes
- Maintain contact with clients on regular basis
- Prepare documents and correspondence such as demand letters, pleadings, billing inquiries, etc.
- Research and negotiate medical liens
