Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients who have experienced personal injury and to lead complex litigation cases from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for legal advocacy, exceptional research and writing skills, and a comprehensive understanding of personal injury law. You will be instrumental in managing case files, negotiating settlements, preparing for trial, and providing expert legal counsel to clients. This position is vital in helping victims secure justice and fair compensation while upholding the highest standards of legal integrity and professionalism.
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, medical malpractice, and other injury-related cases
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests with precision and clarity
- Prepare for court depositions by developing effective questioning strategies and analyzing witness testimonies
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, coordinating expert witnesses, and developing compelling courtroom presentations
- Maintain detailed case management records using legal case management software to track case progress and deadlines
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and ensure their understanding of case developments
- Stay current on relevant laws including general & commercial litigation, procedural law, employment law, statutory research, and other areas impacting personal injury cases
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in personal injury law or related litigation fields such as general & commercial litigation or employment law cases
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory legal research methods, and legal motion preparation techniques
- Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to support case development
- Demonstrated ability in legal negotiation, client communication, and advocacy within a courtroom setting
- Proficiency in legal drafting—including pleadings, motions, contracts—and trial preparation procedures
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes and case management systems to ensure efficient workflow
- Exceptional writing skills with attention to detail in legal research reports and documentation
- Experience with court depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work under deadlines
