Karell Trial Attorneys provides exceptional representation to clients who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others. We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our growing Atlanta-based personal injury practice.

We are looking for a litigation attorney who is confident managing personal injury cases through litigation and is ready to take ownership of a caseload from filing through resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable working directly with clients, the drive to fight for our clients and capable of moving cases forward efficiently.

Responsibilities:
The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing personal injury cases throughout the litigation process, including:
  • Managing an active caseload of personal injury matters from filing through settlement or trial.
  • Drafting and reviewing complaints, motions, discovery, briefs, and other pleadings
  • Propounding and responding to written discovery
  • Taking Defendant depositions and defending Plaintiff depositions
  • Conducting legal research and developing individual case strategy
  • Attending hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances
  • Preparing cases for mediation and trial
  • Negotiating settlements with defense counsel and insurance carriers
  • Evaluating liability, damages, insurance coverage, and litigation strategy
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy
  • Maintaining accurate case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars

Qualifications:
  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
  • 1-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred
  • Personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Trial experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Georgia Court filing systems Odyssey and PeachCourt and Federal Court filing system Pacer.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required
