Description:
We are a seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney with at least 3-5 years' experience to join our Insurance Defense team. The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years' experience in personal injury matters with trial experience a plus. The candidate should be experienced in handling court appearances on conferences and motions, taking and defending depositions as well as drafting reports, motions and affirmations in opposition.This position is full time in person with the possibility of some remote work in the future
Responsibilities:
- Handle files from receipt of summons and complaint through all phases of discovery.
- Keep and follow a diary system for all files.
- Conduct depositions
- Review and anlyze medical records
- Draft and revise timely reports to insurance adjusters and clients
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in New York State.
- At least 5 years experience in negligence
- Experience in conducting and defending depositions
- Experience in appearing in court for conferences and motions
