An International Law Firm Based in Houston, Texas is seeking experienced intellectual property professionals to join our Technology section in our Houston, Austin or D.C. offices. Several positions are available, including an associate with one to three years of experience and a counsel. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or an advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical degree from a top university and strong patent prosecution experience preferably in the energy industry or the software development industry. These positions also require strong trademark experience. Other experience in intellectual property areas including licensing, tech transactions, diligence, trademarks, copyrights, opinions, and non-disclosure agreements is a plus. The candidate must be licensed to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Lawyers must be licensed in the jurisdiction of their office. For the counsel position, full or part-time work is available.
