- Reporting to the Chief Intellectual Property Officer, provides support to the Office of Technology Transfer in management of its intellectual property portfolio.
- Responsibilities include preparing and prosecuting patent filings, developing and implementing offensive and defensive IP strategies, conducting various patent searches, conducting limited freedom-to-practice evaluations, preparing or obtaining appropriate opinions and providing timely counsel on intellectual property issues.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Advanced degree in discipline related to specialty area and two years of experience in patent prosecution, a law firm or corporation.
