Description:

In this role, you'll prepare and prosecute patent applications for clients spanning a broad range of technologies and industries. Working directly with inventors, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and in-house counsel, you'll develop patent strategies, conduct patentability analyses, respond to USPTO office actions, and provide strategic guidance throughout the innovation lifecycle. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to opinions, licensing matters, due diligence, and patent litigation.

At Wood Herron & Evans, intellectual property isn't one of many practice areas, it's our entire practice. This singular focus has made us a trusted partner to innovators, emerging companies, and Fortune 500 businesses alike. Our attorneys collaborate across technical disciplines, and we're supported by dedicated in-house patent illustration and docketing teams, allowing us to focus on sophisticated legal work, strategic client counseling, and building client relationships.

Our size is intentional. We'll provide meaningful mentorship, early client responsibility, and direct collaboration with experienced patent attorneys who are committed to your professional growth. Whether you're helping a startup secure its first patent or advising an established company on a global portfolio, you'll play a significant role in protecting innovation.

If you're looking to deepen your technical practice, work closely with clients, and build your career at a firm where intellectual property is the sole focus, we'd welcome the opportunity to meet you.
