Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D in Cellular & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field to join our busy life sciences patent prosecution and counseling practice. Duties include but are not limited to: conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses; analyze patents and scientific papers to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation; draft patent applications and responses to office actions; and participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO. Must have superb technical, written and verbal communication skills in English. Broad scientific knowledge in biotechnology required. Individual must possess initiative, be a fast learner, and work well with others. Must be a registered USPTO patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and otherwise meet the requirements for registration as a patent agent.
