Description:

Brooks Kushman is seeking a highly skilled Patent Agent or Patent Attorney to join our intellectual property law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and proven experience in patent prosecution, with a focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in complex scientific fields.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices.
Collaborate with inventors, scientists, and corporate clients to develop IP strategies.
Collaborate with the Brooks team to oversee patent portfolios and provide guidance on IP protection and enforcement.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Physics, Chemical Physics, or Organic Chemistry (required).
Minimum 3 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with deposition technology is a plus.
Admission to practice before the USPTO; state bar admission also required for attorneys.
