Duties:
- Represent clients in family law cases, including negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
- Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and court pleadings
- Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and coordinating witness testimony
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and gather necessary information
- Manage case files efficiently using legal case management software
- Assist with court depositions and participate in procedural law activities to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active CA Bar admission
- Proven experience in client advising and courtroom advocacy
- Strong knowledge of statutory legal research and procedural law
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, legal drafting, and trial preparation
- Excellent writing skills—ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and motions
