Duties:
  • Represent clients in family law cases, including negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
  • Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and court pleadings
  • Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies
  • Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and coordinating witness testimony
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and gather necessary information
  • Manage case files efficiently using legal case management software
  • Assist with court depositions and participate in procedural law activities to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements

Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active CA Bar admission
  • Proven experience in client advising and courtroom advocacy
  • Strong knowledge of statutory legal research and procedural law
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation, legal drafting, and trial preparation
  • Excellent writing skills—ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and motions
  • Effective client communication skills
