Description:

What if part-time could still mean purposeful, professionally engaging, and aligned with your life?

This role is designed for an experienced attorney who wants to remain meaningfully engaged in their legal career without committing to a full-time schedule. It's an excellent fit for someone intentionally choosing a part-time season, often to prioritize family or personal commitments, while still wanting substantive work, ownership, and a role that truly matters.

About the Firm:
DiAngelo Law is a 100% remote trademark and business law firm serving entrepreneurs and growing companies nationwide. Our work is grounded in practical, business-minded legal guidance and strong issue-spotting, delivered with transparency, efficiency, and approachability.

Our culture is professional, collaborative, and grounded. We value clear communication, sound judgment, and a sustainable pace. Part-time at our firm does not mean sidelined or disconnected.

What's In It for You
  • A salaried, part-time attorney role with meaningful responsibility
  • 100% remote work with flexibility within business hours
  • No billable-hour requirements
  • Substantive trademark and business law work that keeps your skills sharp
  • A client-facing role where your judgment and people skills matter
  • Clear expectations and communication so you know what success looks like
  • A supportive, professional team culture built on trust and accountability
  • Room to grow and expand your impact over time if desired, while remaining part-time if that's your preference

The Role:
This is not a freelance position. You'll be trusted to own your work, manage assigned matters independently, and stay meaningfully engaged with the team, all within a part-time structure.

Workload will fluctuate based on firm needs. Reasonable availability during standard business hours is expected, particularly when time-sensitive matters arise.

Performance is evaluated based on the quality and timeliness of work, volume of output relative to role expectations, and overall client satisfaction.

The Work
  • Handle federal trademark matters from clearance through Office Action responses
  • Draft and review contracts and related business documents
  • Support clients with entity formation, trademark enforcement, and related matters
  • Conduct client consultations and provide ongoing legal guidance throughout active matters
  • Communicate directly with clients, internal team members, and, when appropriate, opposing counsel or third parties
  • Provide clear, plain-English legal guidance grounded in practical business realities
  • Proactively identify legal issues and flag risks early
  • Move assigned matters forward efficiently and responsibly

Workload & Structure

  • Salaried (fixed pay rate), part-time position
  • Typical workload averages 10–15 hours per week of legal production, depending on firm volume, with potential to grow into a full-time position
  • Flexible scheduling within the structure of a professional law practice

What We're Looking For:
  • Licensed U.S. attorney in good standing (Florida preferred, not required)
  • 2+ years Trademark and USPTO experience required
  • Contract drafting experience required
  • Strong issue-spotting and practical legal judgment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Comfortable taking ownership of work from start to finish
  • Engaged and thoughtful in client-facing interactions
  • Interested in contributing to a well-run, modern law firm long-term

Bonus points for:
  • Experience with wills, trusts, or tax matters
  • Licensed patent attorney
  • Florida Bar admission

Growth Potential

This role is part-time because that is the workload that exists today. For the right person, there is room to grow over time, though growth is optional, not expected. We respect and support attorneys who are intentionally choosing part-time work while still wanting to do excellent, meaningful legal work.
