Overview:
Partner-Level Attorney – Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation
Location: New York, NY — Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office | Practice Area: Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation (Lender-Side)

About the Opportunity:
Kelley Kronenberg is seeking an entrepreneurial, partner-level attorney to help lead our New York foreclosure practice. This role is built for a lawyer who represents lenders and servicers in mortgage foreclosure litigation, has a portable book of business, and wants a platform with the resources to grow it. You'll set the direction of your own practice and be measured on results — from our New York City office, or remotely or on a hybrid schedule, whichever fits how you work best.

What makes this different is the balance of independence and backing. You run your practice your way, with the full weight of a large firm behind you: a dedicated business development team, in-house marketing, modern legal technology, and experienced paralegal and administrative support that keeps your time on the work only you can do. As a growing, AV-rated national firm with a collegial, knowledge-sharing culture, we give your own client development real reach — and colleagues who are invested in your success.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Own mortgage foreclosure matters end to end — from initial filing through final resolution — for a portfolio of lender and servicer clients.
  • Handle substantive motion practice and pleadings, supported by thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Manage an active foreclosure litigation docket, keeping every matter on schedule and every client fully informed.
  • Appear on behalf of clients in court, including at trials, hearings, depositions, and conferences.
  • Serve as strategic counsel, delivering clear guidance and proactive case updates.
  • Work alongside fellow attorneys and support staff to deliver consistent, high-caliber representation.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar, in good standing (New Jersey Bar admission a plus).
  • At least six years representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
  • Sharp analytical, research, and legal-writing skills.
  • A track record of carrying complex litigation from intake through resolution.
  • Working knowledge of default-servicing platforms such as LPS/Black Knight and Tempo (a plus).
  • The ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload independently.
  • Strong communication and client-relationship skills.
  • A portable book of business.
