Description:

Andover law firm seeks part-time attorney with experience in Massachusetts Residential Real Estate transactions for flexible, mostly remote work. Must live locally in Massachusetts or in Southern New Hampshire.

Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Email communications with clients, realtors, municipal personnel, lenders and other real estate law offices
  • Draft purchase and sales agreements using templates, review and revise purchase and sales agreements
  • Review condominium documents
  • Use closing software to prepare and organize closing files and documentation
  • Prepare and review title commitments and other lender title documents
  • Prepare and reconcile closing adjustments and settlement statements
  • Prepare all closing documents and organize the closing process including scheduling closings
  • Occasionally conduct closings on behalf of senior attorney

Ideal Competencies:

  • Understanding of the real estate closing process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to print/scan documents
  • Input and collaboration in real estate conveyancing software, including various types of data entry and funding/balancing ledgers
  • Work well collaboratively and independently
  • Strong time managements skills – being able to multitask and prioritize
  • Attention to time sensitive deadlines
  • Mandarin Chinese language speaking and writing ability a plus, but not required
