Duties:
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel to clients on diverse matters such as estate planning, environmental issues, immigration processes, family disputes, securities regulations, and tribal laws.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural laws.
- Prepare for and participate in court depositions, trial proceedings, and hearings while maintaining meticulous case management records.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate vigorously on behalf of clients during litigation or alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategies aligned with current statutory and procedural laws.
- Manage multiple cases efficiently by utilizing legal case management software while maintaining clear communication with clients regarding case developments.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law & litigation.
- Proven experience in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to draft comprehensive legal documents including contracts and motions with accuracy.
- Familiarity with court depositions, trial preparation procedures, and procedural law requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in handling general & commercial litigation as well as specialized practice areas like employment law or personal injury cases.
- Exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal advocacy techniques combined with client communication expertise to deliver clear guidance and support throughout the legal process.
