Job Description:Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Attorney to join the No-Fault and Coverage Practice Group, specializing in the defense of New York No-Fault claims. The ideal candidate must be admitted to practice in New York. While it is preferred that the candidate also be licensed to practice in New Jersey, this is not a requirement.
The firm operates multiple offices in and around New York City, including New Jersey, and serves a variety of insurance clients across different insurance-related practice areas.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with New York No-Fault claims and related legal matters, whether on the defense or plaintiff side. Prior general litigation experience is also beneficial. However, candidates without prior No-Fault experience will be considered and may receive training and mentorship.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in New York (required)
- Licensed to practice in New Jersey (preferred, but not required)
- Prior experience with New York No-Fault claims and related legal matters preferred
- Prior general litigation experience beneficial
- Candidates without prior No-Fault experience will be considered
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of New York No-Fault claims
- Conduct examinations under oath and depositions
- Appear in court and arbitration proceedings
- Draft legal documents and filings
- Work under the supervision of senior attorneys, with opportunities for growth and increasing independence
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties regarding assigned matters
