Skadden's National Security (https://www.skadden.com/capabilities/practices/national-security/cc/national-security) group in Washington, D.C. (https://www.skadden.com/locations/americas/washington-dc) is seeking an outstanding mid to senior level associate (class of 2021-2019) whose work focuses on International Trade. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, including substantial international trade expertise in customs, trade policy, trade law, and trade remedies. Ideally, this person would also be open to doing additional work across the National Security group where needed (i.e., export controls, sanctions, CFIUS, etc.). High level of academic achievement and excellent writing skills is a must. The starting base salary for this Washington, D.C. position is expected to be between $365,000 to $420,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.Associates who join Skadden laterally participate in an enhanced mentor program, which specifically focuses on the unique needs experienced attorneys face during professional transitions.
