Join our dynamic municipal legal team as a City Prosecutor & Civil Litigator, where you will play a vital role in upholding justice and serving the community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead prosecution efforts on municipal violations while managing a diverse civil litigation caseload. You will leverage your comprehensive legal expertise to navigate complex cases, advocate effectively, and contribute to the betterment of local governance.
As City Prosecutor, you will prosecute misdemeanor code violations for clients throughout the state and will handle all aspects of criminal prosecutions, including evaluating law enforcement reports for filing determinations, preparing criminal complaints, arguing pre-trial motions, and handling arraignments, pre-trials, jury trials, sentencing, and post-conviction hearings. You will travel to various courts in Southern California to represent our clients. A valid driver's license, or the ability to take alternative means of transportation to hearings, is required.
As Civil Litigator, you will assist municipalities in protecting and improving their communities through code enforcement, housing standards, receiverships, nuisance abatement, land use, and zoning law. Heavy research and writing.
