Description:

Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a corporate associate with 4-7 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in our Tampa office. Foley's nationally integrated Transactions Practice Group advises publicly and privately held middle-market and upper-middle-market companies, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and other investors on M&A, securities, and related corporate matters. The associate will work on sophisticated U.S. and cross-border transactions and will have opportunities to take ownership of significant deal workstreams while working directly with partners, senior associates, clients, and colleagues across the firm's practices and offices.

Qualified candidates should have substantive experience with private equity and strategic M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating principal and ancillary transaction documents, managing due diligence, coordinating transaction closings, and working with specialists on tax, finance, regulatory, intellectual property, employment, and other deal-related matters. Experience with venture financings, securities matters, general corporate governance, or other commercial transactions is also relevant, and early-stage financing experience is beneficial but not required. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple matters, communicating directly with clients, and handling substantial portions of transactions with appropriate supervision.

The position offers the opportunity to develop a broad corporate practice within a collaborative, nationally integrated team. Associates are encouraged to build strong client relationships, exercise sound judgment, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Foley supports professional development through meaningful responsibility, regular collaboration, and experience across a range of industries and transaction types.

Strong academic credentials are required. Applicants must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be active members in good standing of the Florida Bar.

Interested applicants should submit a resume, law school transcript, and deal sheet. Current judicial clerks must apply directly and may not be submitted by a legal recruiter.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $290,000 - $390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
