Our Real Estate Finance team represents lenders, borrowers, investors, developers, financial institutions, debt funds, and other market participants in sophisticated real estate financing transactions across the United States and internationally. We are seeking a highly motivated associate with 2-4 years of relevant experience to join our growing Real Estate Finance practice in Miami.

The associate will work as part of a collaborative team representing institutional lenders, investment funds, borrowers, developers, and other stakeholders in a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions. The practice offers substantial client contact, early responsibility, and the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile matters across multiple asset classes.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Structure, negotiate, document, and close commercial real estate financing transactions.
  • Represent lenders and borrowers in acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent, mezzanine, and syndicated loan transactions.
  • Assist with the origination, purchase, sale, participation, syndication, and securitization of commercial mortgage loans.
  • Conduct and manage transaction due diligence, including review of real estate, title, survey, organizational, and financing documents.
  • Draft and negotiate loan documents and ancillary transaction agreements.
  • Work closely with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, and other transaction participants throughout all phases of a deal.
  • Support restructuring, workout, and other distressed real estate finance matters as opportunities arise.

Skills and experience required:
  • 2-4 years of experience at a law firm with commercial real estate finance, real estate, banking, or finance practice.
  • Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in commercial real estate lending transactions.
  • Strong understanding of financing structures involving commercial real estate assets, including office, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, retail, mixed-use, residential, and development projects.
  • Experience with construction lending, bridge financing, mezzanine financing, intercreditor matters, loan syndications, or CMBS-related transactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
