Job Summary:
Kreditor Bolduc Risbrough LLP, a respected Costa Mesa, California law firm, is seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Litigation Attorney with 6–8 years of substantive civil litigation experience to join our growing litigation practice.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, with additional experience in business and/or real estate litigation preferred. This position offers an opportunity for an attorney who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility, independently manage cases, and continue developing as a well-rounded litigator.

The successful candidate will be comfortable handling matters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision while working collaboratively with senior attorneys, clients, and support staff. We are seeking an attorney who is strategic, analytical, practical, and solutions-oriented, with strong judgment and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

6–8 years of substantive civil litigation experience, with a strong preference for insurance defense experience. Experience in business and/or real estate litigation is a plus.
Extensive experience practicing in California state courts is required. Experience handling matters in federal court is preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, develop, and execute litigation strategy from case inception through resolution.
Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, court rules, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines.
Experience drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
Experience preparing for and conducting depositions, including developing deposition outlines and preparing deposition summaries.
Experience handling court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
Trial experience is strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently and effectively.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior attorneys and support staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Developing and implementing case strategy with appropriate oversight.
Conducting legal research and analyzing substantive and procedural legal issues.
Drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
Preparing for and conducting depositions.
Appearing at court hearings, conferences, and other litigation proceedings.
Evaluating liability, damages, defenses, risks, and potential case outcomes.
Preparing matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
Participating in trial preparation and, where appropriate, taking an active role in trial.
Communicating professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and other parties.
Managing case deadlines and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedural requirements.
Working closely with senior attorneys and support staff to efficiently and effectively manage litigation matters.
Providing thoughtful, practical, and timely legal advice to clients.
