Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Senior Associate, Of Counsel, or Partner with at least five years of experience to join our Delaware office. Dorsey has a long history of commitment to Delaware -- opening its Delaware office over 20 years ago -- and the firm is looking to expand and grow its Delaware presence with entrepreneurial and high performing lawyers. This Mergers and Acquisitions attorney will assist with Delaware legal corporate advice in matters originating in all of Dorsey's 22 offices throughout the world. This attorney will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of corporate transactions and provide Delaware corporate law advice in such situations, including incorporations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, other corporate restructurings, dissolutions, strategic partnerships, financing and complex lending transactions, cross-border transactions, and private equity investments. This attorney will also assist with advising clients on fiduciary duty considerations and other strategic corporate law considerations in a variety of situations and transactions.

Qualified candidates will have:
  • A JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • At least five years of Delaware corporate experience, including substantial mergers and acquisitions experience;
  • Experience working in the business/corporate group of a Delaware based law firm or in the Delaware office of a large national or international law firm;
  • Delaware bar admission;
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure;
  • Excellent academic credentials.
