Description:

At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. For millions of Americans, we're their last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations or defective goods. From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights. Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.

You became a lawyer to make a difference. Not to move files from one desk to another. Not to spend your career defending corporations. Not to wonder whether your work matters. You became a lawyer because you believed the law could be a powerful tool for justice. As part of the Medical Malpractice & Nursing Home Litigation team at Morgan & Morgan, you'll use your skills to advocate for some of the most vulnerable members of our communities—elderly residents and their families who have suffered neglect, abuse, preventable injuries, and devastating losses in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. These are not just cases. They are stories of broken trust, dignity compromised, and families searching for answers. They deserve an attorney who is equal parts advocate, strategist, and counselor. Someone who understands that behind every medical record, deposition, and motion is a person whose voice needs to be heard. If that resonates with you, we'd like to meet you.

The Opportunity:
As a Medical Malpractice & Nursing Home Litigation Attorney at Morgan & Morgan, you will manage a substantial and meaningful caseload from intake through trial. You'll work alongside a nationally respected team with the resources, reputation, and support necessary to take on powerful opponents and achieve life-changing results for clients. Here, you'll have the autonomy to eventually lead your cases, the backing of a premier plaintiffs' firm, and the opportunity to build a career dedicated to making a genuine difference.

What You'll Do & Where You'll Do It
  • Handle medical malpractice, nursing home negligence / abuse, and wrongful death matters from pre-suit investigation through trial
  • Leverage M&M's technology suite to effectively manage cases through their lifecycle
  • Build compelling cases through discovery, expert development, depositions, and motion practice
  • Guide clients and families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives with compassion and clarity

  • Develop case strategies that maximize outcomes and accountability
  • Serve as a trusted advocate for clients seeking justice and closure
  • Opportunities are available in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Michigan

What We're Looking For:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the applicable State Bar
  • 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally involving medical negligence/malpractice, catastrophic injury, and/or nursing home matters
  • Strong litigation, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage a significant caseload
  • Exceptional client communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A driven, compassionate attorney who is motivated by meaningful work and long-term professional growth

Why M&M?

  • When you represent injured individuals and grieving families, the quality of your support matters. At Morgan & Morgan, you'll have access to the resources, technology, expert networks, and litigation support necessary to compete with (and beat!) the largest defense firms and insurance companies. You'll work alongside accomplished trial lawyers who are committed to mentoring, collaboration, and excellence. Most importantly, you'll spend your career doing work that matters.
  • Every day, you'll help families find answers. You'll hold negligent institutions accountable. You'll give a voice to people who might otherwise go unheard. If you're looking for more than just another litigation position and are seeking purpose, impact, and the opportunity to practice law the way you always envisioned, then we invite you to apply.
