A Business Law Firm is currently seeking to add a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney to our expanding & fast paced St. Louis office. This position will require someone who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can autonomously handle a large volume of files along with meeting strict deadlines. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Gathering evidence and medical records in support of client strategy
- Taking depositions of the claimant, witnesses, medical experts and other parties
- Conducting discovery
- Performing legal research
- Remaining current with developments in the law
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents
Skills and Specifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience working in personal injury litigation
- Preferred working knowledge of medical malpractice laws and procedures
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and track volume caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Be able to work efficiently with corporate professionals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education and Qualifications:
- Must be licensed and able to practice law in both Missouri & Illinois
- Prior experience in the legal field required
