Who You Are: A solo or small firm attorney with significant experience handling Elder Law and Estate Planning matters from start to finish throughout Ohio, and looking to take on more cases. You MUST be able to join our firm on an "Of Counsel" basis, and you MUST be comfortable working remotely using a variety of web-based technology tools with your own computer equipment and a strong internet connection.

About The Position: This is an Of Counsel position so you will be an employee of our firm. This is a pure commission-based position and there is no salary. Fees will be split between you and the firm at a rate to be discussed. Client communication, timekeeping, and billing will be done through our firm's case management software and systems.

We are starting to build the case volume so the position will begin part-time with you choosing your own schedule, but it could develop into a full-time position based on case flow and performance.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing legal advice, preparing all of the necessary documents for Elder Law and Mediciad related matters, and conducting legal research as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong legal drafting and administrative skills, as well as the ability to manage a caseload with clear, accurate and complete notes, and litigate and negotiate effectively if necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice law in Ohio
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing law with a majority focused on probate matters
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes
  • Competent using a variety of web based tools

Experience:
  • Estate planning: 5 years (Required)
  • Microsoft Office: 5 years (Required)
  • Elder Law/Medicaid Planning: 5 years (Required)
