Role Description This full-time, on-site Matrimonial Attorney (Litigation) role is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The attorney will manage a litigation-focused caseload involving high-net-worth divorce, complex asset division, child custody disputes, and related family law matters from intake through resolution. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, preparing and responding to discovery, conducting legal research, and appearing in court for conferences, hearings, and trials. The role involves advising clients on legal strategy, negotiating settlements, collaborating with experts (such as financial professionals and custody evaluators), and maintaining meticulous case files. The attorney will work closely with the firm's team to develop tailored litigation strategies that reflect client goals and uphold the firm's commitment to discretion and exceptional advocacy.

Qualifications:
  • Strong foundation in Law and Family Law, with demonstrated experience handling divorce and complex matrimonial litigation.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients on high-asset divorce, custody, and related issues.
  • Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to family and matrimonial matters.
  • Skilled in Negotiation, settlement discussions, and mediations, particularly in high-conflict or high-net-worth cases.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Prior experience in matrimonial or family law litigation, preferably in high-net-worth or complex cases.
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple high-stakes matters simultaneously.
