Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a highly qualified Counsel Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group, with a focus on asbestos and talc litigation.This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic litigation practice handling all phases of complex matters, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice. The successful candidate will manage assigned cases with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with a team of experienced litigators.
Our Mass Torts team works collaboratively to develop strategic approaches for each case. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and research skills and the ability to apply legal principles, procedural rules, and case law effectively to defend clients and drive successful outcomes. This role also involves working closely with junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in toxic tort, talc, or product liability litigation
- Strong academic credentials (law school and undergraduate)
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Highly organized, detail-orientated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and offices
- Willingness to travel as needed for depositions, hearings, and court appearances
- Candidates must be licensed in California or Illinois, and in good standing
Compensation:
- The national average salary range for this position is $150,000 – $215,000, depending on location, qualifications, and experience (will confirm this with talent management)

Candidates must be licensed in Illinois and in good standing. Candidates must be willing to periodically travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary. We are open to remote, part-time, or flexible hour arrangements.
