We are seeking an ambitious attorney with 0–3 years of experience who wants to take ownership of an entire department and grow into a leadership role.

Position Overview:
This is not a traditional associate attorney position.

The Managing Pre-Litigation Attorney will oversee all aspects of the firm's pre-litigation department, supervise staff and case workflows, ensure client satisfaction, and drive case value from intake through settlement or litigation referral.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people, and wants to build and manage systems rather than simply handle a personal caseload.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the firm's entire pre-litigation department
  • Manage and mentor pre-litigation case managers and support staff
  • Review liability, damages, and case strategy
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers
  • Review and approve settlement recommendations
  • Ensure timely progression of all cases through the pre-litigation process
  • Conduct client consultations and strategy discussions
  • Monitor department KPIs and case outcomes
  • Improve workflows and operational efficiency
  • Work closely with firm leadership on growth initiatives
  • Utilize CasePeer to manage case flow, reporting, and team accountability
  • Identify cases requiring litigation and coordinate transfers to litigation counsel

Qualifications:
  • Active Texas law license
  • 0–3 years of legal experience
  • Personal injury experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and case management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Technology-forward mindset
  • Experience with CasePeer is a plus
