Hims & Hers is seeking a seasoned, business-minded Managing Counsel, Regulatory to lead the pharmacy and FDA vertical within the legal team and partner closely with business units across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic legal guidance on a wide array of regulatory issues and initiatives, helping drive business goals while effectively managing legal risk. This is a key legal leadership position for an experienced health care regulatory attorney eager to help shape the regulatory legal team in a high-growth, dynamic, mission-driven healthcare company. This role will be accountable for the overall strategy, performance, and risk management within the subject matter area, exercising broad discretion and authority.

You Will:
  • Lead the company's pharmacy and FDA regulatory legal function, advising on a broad range of regulatory compliance matters across all jurisdictions where the company does business, including all 50 states and international locations.
  • Provide strategic counsel to the Operations and Fulfillment, Quality, Compounding Production, and senior leadership on issues related to pharmacy operations, compounding, laboratory operations, supply chain, facility network development, facility licensing, international expansion, and more.
  • Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations impacting the practice and operations of pharmacies and other facilities, including compounding, licensing, DSCSA compliance, resident and non-resident mail order pharmacy operations, and more.
  • Advise on internal facility and site operation assessments and manage any regulatory investigations.
  • Support the development and enforcement of facility policies and SOPs, ensuring alignment with company values and legal obligations.
  • Handle pharmacy and other facility-related complaints, regulatory inspections, and responses, managing outside counsel when necessary.
  • Advise on pharmacy and facility aspects of business transactions, including M&A, restructurings, and integrations.
  • Monitor evolving legal and regulatory trends in pharmacy and FDA laws, rules, and regulations, and translate them into practical recommendations for the business.
  • Mentor and manage a team of regulatory counsel and legal professionals, contributing to a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional growth.

You Have:
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 12+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house regulatory counsel experience at a high-growth, highly regulated company; healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing regulatory professionals, demonstrating strong leadership and a track record of building and retaining effective teams.
  • Deep expertise in FDA and/or U.S. state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based partnerships with business leadership and legal peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and scale legal processes in a growing organization.
