Job Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pre-litigation Manager specializing in Personal Injury to join our dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the early stages of personal injury claims, ensuring efficient case management, thorough legal research, and effective communication with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers. Your expertise will help streamline pre-litigation processes, facilitate settlement negotiations, and lay the groundwork for successful litigation when necessary. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee a team of 15–20 staff, including case managers and medical collectors (including virtual team members)
- Supervise and ensure timely handling of high-volume PI caseloads
- Track and enforce all SOL deadlines to ensure no lapse in filing
- Minor's Compromises (MC)
- Client Statements
- Examinations Under Oath (EUO)
- Implement and enforce workflows, processes, and quality control standards
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and case milestones
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to maintain efficiency and accountability
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law along with familiarity in related areas such as workers' compensation law
- Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis for comprehensive case analysis
- Experience with Filevine
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage high volume PI firm
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents such as demand letters and liability disputes
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
