The Morgan Law Group is seeking an experienced Managing Attorney to lead and oversee our Personal Injury Department. This role is ideal for a hands-on attorney with strong leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about building efficient teams and driving results.
Position Overview:
The Managing Attorney will be responsible for the overall management, performance, and progression of personal injury cases from pre-litigation through litigation. This role will oversee attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and support staff, ensuring files move efficiently, deadlines are met, and clients receive exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all Personal Injury files, including pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Ensure cases are progressing timely manner and in compliance with internal standards, court rules, and ethical obligations
- Supervise and mentor PI attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
- Ensure staff are properly trained, supported, and aligned with department workflows and expectations
- Conduct regular file reviews to identify risks, delays, and opportunities for resolution
- Collaborate with leadership on department performance, staffing needs, and process improvements
- Maintain accountability for productivity, quality of work, and client communication
- Serve as a resource for complex legal issues and case strategy
- Assist with developing and refining PI department procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Active license and good standing with the Florida Bar (multi-state licensure a plus)
- Six (6) or more years of experience handling personal injury cases, including pre-litigation and litigation
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload environment while leading a team
- Experience working with case management systems (Clio or similar preferred)
