The Position – Summer Associate
Are You Looking for An Exciting Internship Experience? Our Paid Internship Program Is an Excellent Opportunity for A Law Student to Gain Practical, Hands-On Experience and Build a Strong Foundation for A Career in Entertainment Law. the Intern Will Work Directly with Our Experienced Attorneys and Have Exposure to The Real-World Environment of A Fast-Paced and Dynamic Business. This Is a Full-Time Position, up To 40 Hours per Week.

What This Role Will Do
  • Review and Draft a Wide Variety of Commercial Agreements, Including, without Limitation, Service Provider Agreements, Promotion Agreements, Production Agreements, License Agreements, Equipment Rental Agreements, Booking Agreements, Co-Promotion Agreements, Artist Performance Agreements, Festival Promotion Agreements and Consulting/independent Contractor Agreements.
  • Conduct Targeted Legal Research on Various Issues Relating to The Live Entertainment Business and Provide Clear Recommendations to Internal Staff.
  • Aid in Performing Due Diligence on Potential Acquisition Targets and Other New Business Ventures.
  • Communicate and Interact with Internal Business Partners and Third-Party Attorneys to Negotiate and Finalize Contracts.
  • Assist with Updating Internal Contract Templates.
  • Manage Contract Process and Provide Regular Status Reports to Internal Team Members

Qualifications:
  • Currently Enrolled in A U.S. Aba-Accredited Law School (rising 2 L Preferred)
  • Strong Academic Record, with An Interest in Music Industry, Intellectual Property, Media and Contract Law Demonstrated Through Coursework or Prior Experience
  • Exceptional Legal Research Skills, with Proficiency in Tools Like Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, or Equivalent
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, and An Ability to Work Collaboratively
  • Demonstrated Ability to Handle Confidential Information with The Utmost Discretion
  • Strong Organizational Skills and Meticulous Attention to Detail
  • A Proactive Mindset and Eagerness to Learn About the Legal and Business Aspects of The Entertainment Industry
  • Acute Sense of Judgment, Tact, and Diplomacy
