An Innovative Immigration Counsel is a boutique immigration law firm that specializes in exceptionally high quality legal representation to immigrant clients before USCIS, the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.Litigation Support Attorney Position. The Firm is seeking to add a litigation support attorney to our growing attorney team. No business generation is expected by the associate. This associate would support the firm's litigation attorneys by writing legal briefs in preparation for their trials, preparing motions and other court filings for the Immigration Court and filing and briefing appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals. This associate would not be expected to litigate cases at trial, but would have the opportunity to grow and learn trial skills through this position.
Our ideal candidate would Love writing and would be extremely organized, detail-oriented and able to effectively manage deadlines. No experience in immigration law is required. The Firm would offer increased compensation for associates with over two years of legal experience working at a law firm and/or for associates that have legal experience in immigration.
Licensing Requirements. As exclusive practitioners of federal immigration law, we will consider associate attorneys barred in any U.S. jurisdiction. However, the ideal candidate would be barred in Virginia or Maryland (or eligible to waive into either state in the future).
