The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure and the California Evidence Code and be proficient in drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
- Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery requests.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Provide high-quality legal counsel and maintain strong client relationships.
- Oversee timekeeping, billing review, and client communications.
Qualifications:
- Active member of the California State Bar.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of three years of litigation experience, preferably in trust and estate litigation or civil litigation.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a demanding caseload.
