What You'll Do:Are you a licensed attorney who thrives on navigating complex litigation processes while empowering others to succeed? We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Practice Support Attorney to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who combines litigation experience with a passion for civil procedure, compliance, and practice support.
You'll work closely with the Managing Attorney, to oversee litigation support functions across multiple jurisdictions—with a particular focus on California practice and e-filing systems. As a trusted resource, you'll help ensure firmwide compliance, streamline workflows, and drive efficiency in how our attorneys deliver top-tier client service.
- Litigation Support & Guidance – Provide hands-on support to litigation teams by advising on rules, filing procedures, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Procedural Expertise – Counsel attorneys, paralegals, and staff on issues arising throughout state and federal litigation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Research & Analysis – Conduct detailed reviews of federal, state, and local rules; perform targeted legal research; and track procedural developments.
- E-Filing Management – Handle all aspects of electronic filing, including California's statewide and county-specific systems, as well as federal and appellate courts.
- Docket & Deadline Oversight –Support docketing, calendaring, and case management, ensuring deadlines and alerts are accurate and effectively monitored.
- Mentorship & Best Practices – Train and mentor attorneys and staff on docketing, case deadlines, and best practices for electronic court filing (ECF).
- Strategic Support – Provide timely reporting and workflow insights that strengthen litigation strategy and efficiency.
- Risk Mitigation – Review litigation calendars, monitor escalation processes, and contribute to firmwide initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Special Projects – Take on additional assignments that further client service, operational excellence, and firm initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school and active bar admission in California.
- 7+ years of experience as a litigation associate with a strong knowledge of court rules and procedures across multiple jurisdictions.
- Extensive understanding of federal and state litigation practices, including California e-filing.
- Skilled in using docket management tools (e.g., CourtAlert, eDockets, CompuLaw), research platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Westlaw, Lexis), and databases (e.g., PACER, LexMachina).
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities with the capacity to explain complex rules clearly and confidently.
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and build productive relationships with attorneys, staff, and clients.
- A solution-driven approach, with responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions.
- High-level organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and care.
