Skadden's Litigation (https://www.skadden.com/capabilities/practices/litigationcontroversy/cc/litigation) team in the Chicago office (https://www.skadden.com/locations/americas/chicago) is seeking outstanding lateral candidates (Class of 2020 – 2022) with litigation experience, including discovery, brief writing, and pre-trial preparation activity. Exposure and interest in the cybersecurity and data privacy practice is a plus. The ideal candidate has significant experience handling complex litigation and white collar matters, including securities litigation; class actions and MDLs; cyber litigation; commercial contractual disputes; fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference claims; merger-related litigation and control disputes; bankruptcy and restructuring-related issues; and regulatory investigation. High level of academic achievement and experience in the Litigation practice of a peer firm are preferred qualifications. Qualified candidates should be admitted to practice law in Illinois. The starting base salary for this position is expected to be between $310,000 to $390,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. Our current hybrid work model consists of working Monday through Thursday in the office. Attorneys also receive the opportunity to work remotely for specified periods throughout the year.
