We are seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel with a strong background in infrastructure and construction-related matters to join our legal team. This position may be based out of one of our regional offices in New York, California, Illinois, or Florida.

Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing complex litigation and dispute resolution involving large-scale infrastructure projects, including civil, transportation, utilities, and public works. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to partner closely with executive leadership, operations, and project teams.

Manage and oversee all existing and new litigation matters related to infrastructure and construction projects including arbitration, mediation and other dispute proceedings.
  • Develop litigation strategies, evaluate risk exposure, and recommend proactive solutions to minimize legal and financial risk.
  • Oversee and manage outside counsel, including budgeting, performance, and strategy alignment.
  • Partner with project executives and operations teams to mitigate potential disputes before escalation.
  • Develop best practices, training, and legal guidance for project and leadership teams.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a atop-tiered accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (New York or CA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, preferably focused on infrastructure, civil, or heavy construction projects.
  • Strong experience in construction litigation, claims management, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Background in transportation, utilities, energy, water/wastewater, or large public infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing outside counsel and complex litigation budgets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with ENR top contractors, infrastructure developers, or large engineering/construction firms.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and municipal public works projects.
  • Experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation and arbitration.
