Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in our firm's success. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a diverse caseload of complex real estate litigation matters, including disputes related to commercial and residential properties, trust & probate administration litigation, oil & gas disputes, zoning and land use, title disputes, and more all the boring law school stuff.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, including hearings, motions, and trials.
  • Negotiating and resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration.
  • Collaborating with a team of skilled attorneys to provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication regarding case progress and developments.
  • Keeping abreast of current real estate laws, probate laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and informed counsel to clients.

Requirements:
To thrive in this role and become an integral part of our elite legal team, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Ohio State Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, is preferred as a practicing in civil litigation, with a strong focus on real estate litigation matters and other civil litigation matters.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to craft compelling legal arguments and present complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify legal issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Exceptional client service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
