Duties:
- Manage all phases of litigation from initial case assessment through trial, settlement, or resolution.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and discovery requests with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prepare for court depositions, hearings, and trials by developing compelling arguments and organizing evidence.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Maintain organized case files through effective legal case management systems.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding case developments, legal options, and procedural requirements.
- Stay current on statutory laws, procedural law knowledge, and emerging trends in litigation practice areas such as personal injury law, employment law, securities law, family law, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, patent law, workers' compensation law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Assist in trial preparation by coordinating witness testimony and supporting documentation.
- Represent clients confidently during court proceedings while demonstrating strong legal advocacy skills.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience handling personal injury cases and general litigation matters with a track record of successful case outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge of procedural laws and statutory research methods essential for effective case analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive legal motions and conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms.
- Experience in employment law cases along with familiarity with client communication best practices.
- Prior involvement in court depositions, trial preparation, contract drafting, and settlement negotiations is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple cases simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing skills complemented by the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes including case management software is advantageous.
