Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. In this role, you will lead and manage a diverse portfolio of litigation cases across multiple practice areas, including personal injury law and employment law. Your expertise will be vital in developing strategic legal solutions, representing clients in court proceedings, and ensuring the highest standards of legal research and advocacy. Duties:
- Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution across various practice areas, ensuring thorough preparation and strategic planning.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and negotiations with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide clear guidance on legal options and strategies.
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation in accordance with law office procedures.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing.
- Proven experience in litigation.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for effective case analysis.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, contracts and correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements or resolutions.
- Legal administrative experience managing case files efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant laws such as workers' compensation statutes and securities regulations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple cases independently.
