Waters, Tyler, Hofmann & Scott, LLC is seeking a litigation attorney to join its Louisville-area practice located in New Albany, Indiana. The attorney will work on civil litigation matters in Indiana and Kentucky, including insurance defense, coverage, Indiana medical malpractice, trucking, and construction cases. The level of case responsibility will reflect the attorney's experience. The firm offers mentorship, professional development, and flexible scheduling.Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials; take and defend depositions
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Analyze complex legal issues and develop case strategies
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and case management
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Admission to the Indiana or Kentucky bar required; admission to both preferred
- 1-5 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- Exceptional analytical, legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
