With respect to pay, benefits, hours worked and other such factors, we have a lot of flexibilty, depending on the candidate and what they bring to the table.
We offer a collegial working environment and have a stellar success rate; we want someone who wants to be great at what they do; we enjoy the intellectual aspect of law, and that is how we prevail. We are all team players and great communicators. You have the benefit of working on cases that in other firms you would wait years to work on...if you're good, we will respect your abilities and provide the challenges you require as well as raises. In our firm, you are part of a team, you are never alone.
We seek someone who is genuine, is easy to work with, and is a good team player. You should be able to take ownership of your projects and meet deadlines in advance. We want someone with a personality that is enjoyable to work with and that has a solid work ethic; integrity is non-negotiable.
The work involved creating and responding to motions, prounding and responding to discovery, writing complaints, communicating with clients, defending depositions and administering them, as well as researching issues, attending and assisting with complex matters. The person should be CA licensed and able to make appearances, via Zoom or in person; this is a must.
The ideal candidate is someone who can work well without supervision. You should be motivated (we don't micromanage), a self-starter, and someone who can handle a fast-paced environment. We are happy to mentor and will take you to the next level.
Our firm hires half on personality and half on skills; we can train you on skills, but we cannot change your personality. We want friendly team-players, not the opposite. We want polished lawyers who represent the client and stand before the court in such a way they earn the respect of the judge. A polished lawyer is what we seek.
