Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide well-founded guidance to clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents with a high level of precision.
- Engage in discovery activities, including document review and deposition preparation.
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with attorneys, support staff and clients, providing updates on case progress as needed.
- Stay updated on legal developments and changes in education and public agency law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
- 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in education law, public agency law, or related areas.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for advocating for educational institutions and public agencies.
