Description:
Union Law Group is urgently seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) litigation attorney with immigration experience to join our San Diego team. This is a support-focused role designed to strengthen our courtroom capacity and allow our lead attorneys to focus on consultations and strategy.About the role:
This attorney will work closely with our senior legal team to manage active cases and represent clients in court and administrative proceedings. The position does not involve direct client consultations at this time, but offers a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact through litigation and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in EOIR hearings, BIA and AAO appeals, Federal Court proceedings, USCIS interviews, ICE check-ins, and guardianship hearings.
- Draft and file motions, briefs, appeals (including I-290B), and responses to RFE/NOID.
- Prepare case files and legal strategies for interviews, hearings, and appeals.
- Collaborate with lead attorneys to ensure timely, high-quality litigation support.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law (California Bar preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of immigration law experience, with a strong focus on litigation.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).
- Strong legal writing, research, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for hearings, interviews, and conferences.
- Deep commitment to immigrant rights and social justice.
Preferred Experience:
Business immigration knowledge (TN, E-1, E-2, L, O, H1B, EB2 NIW, etc.) is a plus.
