What You'll Do:
The Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury matters from inception through resolution. We are seeking an organized, self-motivated attorney who is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload and genuinely committed to advocating for injured clients.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Regular client communication, case strategy, and file development.
- Legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Active settlement negotiations and insurance carrier interactions.
- Conducting depositions, preparing cases for trial, and handling court appearances.
Qualifications:
- Education & Licensure: J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in either Virginia or Maryland. Washington, D.C. admission (or immediate eligibility to waive in) is required.
- Case Experience: Proven experience independently managing an active personal injury caseload with strong case-triaging, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Litigation Background: Full lifecycle litigation experience with the ability to navigate the litigation process effectively and take cases to trial as needed.
